Personally speaking, I would not besurprised to see Dr. Steel return to the internet, but until thattime comes, we have our goggles, soldering irons and Artool®stencils! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term “Steampunk”, itis an artistic style that has been around for over a century. It isdefined as “…a Neo-Victorian, retro-technical, futuristicaesthetic.” In basic terms — it is the possibility of futuristictechnology using the craftsmanship and materials of the 18thcentury. My favorite representations of the Steampunk aesthetichave always been “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” by Jules Vern, “TheTime Machine” by H.G. Wells and even the movie “Chitty, Chitty,Bang, Bang!” Steampunk is also a romantic notion of technology thatis way more human than today’s sterile smart-phone generation.
